GADGETBASE WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
What are the basic terms of a warranty?
A warranty is a legally binding commitment forming part of the sales contract which assures the buyer that the product or service is free from defects. A warranty often provides for a specific remedy such as repair or replacement in the event the article or service fails to meet the warranty.
WARRANTY
The Gadgetbase Warranty covers defects arising under normal use only and do not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature or improper installation or repairs.
If a product is found to be faulty at the time of purchase or within the specified product warranty period from the invoice date Gadgetbase will replace it at no extra charge. This offer is conditional on the product being returned with the invoice relating to the purchase. Gadgetbase cannot be held responsible for goods misused or damaged by the customer. If posting or couriering the product back to Gadgetbase ensure that the product is suitably packed, with all accessories and original packaging. The cost of postage is for the customer’s care for the returned product only.
WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS
Warranty coverage requires proof of purchase documentation (invoice or packing slip).
All returns must be clearly marked with the RMA (return merchandise authorization) number on the outside of the package for identification.
Returns will not be accepted unless so marked.
Goods must be returned properly packaged in their original shipping container.
Goods must be returned with adequate packaging to ensure that they are not damaged in transit.
Gadgetbase disclaims any responsibility for goods packaged in such a way that they are likely to be damaged in transit.
Modification to or tampering with any Gadgetbase product including any labels, stickers or markings of any kind shall immediately void the applicable warranty.
CLAIMS & RETURNS
All claims must be made within 24 hours of receipt of goods and accompanied with the invoice relating to the order. We will replace goods damaged in transit only if the damage has been noted on the delivery docket of a freight agent commissioned by us relating to that claim. Gadgetbase are under no obligation to accept returns where no fault lies with Gadgetbase. If we choose to accept a claim from the customer, the product must be returned in original packaging as new, show no signs of wear include all original packaging, accessories (e.g. power adapters, straps, cords etc.) and paperwork (e.g. owner’s manual, warranty card, etc.). You are responsible for the goods until they safely reach our warehouse and deemed by Gadgetbase as re-saleable upon sight of goods returned.
Battery cells - In any case where a defect due to unfitness for the purpose as specified on the Gadgetbase website, Gadgetbase will replace these within a period of 7-14 days from the date of purchase. Battery cells that are damaged or low voltage due to tamper or modify to fit with a purpose such as weld spot, soldering etc. are not under the warranty. Gadgetbase only guarantees for battery cells un-tampered with or sold as per advertised or as original supplied.
If you change your mind regarding the purchase of goods after you have placed your order with us:
1.You can notify us by email to info@gadgetbase.co.ke or call/WhatsApp 0742934889 before we have dispatched the goods to you; or
2.Where goods have already been dispatched to you, you can return goods you have ordered to us for any reason at any time within 48 hours of receipt for an exchange. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.
3.The rights to return the goods to us referred here do not apply to products has been used or opened from the original packaging.
